My name is Maji, and I’m an educator, creative learning designer, author, and lifelong learner who believes every child deserves an education rooted in curiosity, creativity, culture, and joy.

People often ask me where the name “Your Kid’s Favorite Teacher” came from. The answer is simple—I love creating learning experiences that children can’t wait to be part of. Whether we’re reading, experimenting, building, cooking, making art, or exploring the world around us, my goal is always the same: to inspire children to fall in love with learning.

The name Maji means water, and that meaning guides the way I teach. Like water, I believe learning should flow—meeting each child where they are, nurturing their natural gifts, and making space for them to grow with confidence.

Hi, I’m Messiah!

Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here!

I’ve always loved asking questions, discovering new things, and finding creative ways to learn. When I was little, people called me “The Messientist” because I was always experimenting and exploring science. I still love science, but now I’m especially fascinated by the science of cooking, the amazing human body, nature, and how everything works together.

I’m a homeschool student at the Academy of Creative Alchemy, where every day is an adventure! I enjoy reading, building with LEGO® bricks, making jewelry with my mom through Afro Bricks, drawing, painting, traveling, cooking, gardening, learning about herbs, and creating all kinds of fun projects.

One of my favorite things is discovering that learning can happen anywhere—in the kitchen, outside, while building something new, or even while playing!
