Our first nature walk of the month.
The fall weather is perfect for nature walks, collecting leaves, outdoor kitchens and more. The amount of science that is happening around us is enough to keep us learning for a lifetime. Today we spent a fun 60 minutes hiking in some nearby woods in North Carolina. The flowing water drew us close and we mapped out ways to cross the water. Gathering sticks and moving to new spaces, we were creating solutions to getting to new lands. We felt a variety of textures on plants, sunk our feet in sand and observed the growing moss. It was all the science we desired. We listened to the song of the water passing, pushing, pulling. It was most satisfying. We began the month with purposeful gratitude.
